Our Story

Chef Nicholas Sanders also known as Chef Stripe, is the proud owner and culinary force behind Stripes Bustdown & Catering, better known as “Bustdown & Catering” or “Bustdown”, a black-owned catering company has been delighting customers since February 2017. Chef Stripe began his journey with just a tent, a few tables, chafers, and a flattop grill, serving up mouthwatering dishes that quickly gained a loyal following in the Bay Area & Sacramento. Through hard work, passion, and an unwavering commitment to quality, Bustdown & Catering has grown into a full-blown food trailer, bringing elevated flavors and a touch of soul to every event. We offer private catering, Food Truck Pop Ups, and occasionally healthy meal preps!

 

From tender Tri-Tip and perfectly grilled salmon to fall-off-the-bone ribs and sweet garlic noodles, Chef Stripe's menu is a celebration of bold, comforting flavors. With side dishes like Bustdown Fried Rice, BBQ Baked Beans, Cajun Alfredo Pasta, and Candy Yams, Bustdown provides an authentic taste of home that resonates with every guest.

 

Now, having expanded into Sacramento, Chef Stripe continues to push the boundaries of what a catering experience can be, all while staying true to the roots that made Bustdown & Catering a beloved name in the community!
